WEDNESDAY 5TH JULY - TOM STADE AND JOHN LYNN

Tom Stade: I SWEAR - After a hiatus from the touring scene, get ready for another epic blast of Tom Stade!  Direct from the Edinburgh Festival, the Canadian tour-de-force is back with a brand-new show for 2017.   Renowned for his carefree attitude and broad-minded vision, nothing is taboo to this enlightened and captivating comedy legend.  Combining off-the-scale charm, razor-sharp wit and a no-holds-barred attitude; Tom pledges to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. As seen on BBC One’s Live at the Apollo, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, The John Bishop Show and Ch4’s Comedy Gala. Kick back and enter the awesome and mischievous world of Tom Stade as he provides an inspiring and incisive antidote to these dark and uncertain times.  Simply sublime comedy…I SWEAR.

“UNMISSABLE” Edinburgh Evening News “EVERY INCH A STAR.  IF COMEDY IS THE NEW ROCK AND ROLL, THEN TOM STADE IS KEITH RICHARDS” Daily Record “COMEDY GREATNESS…MONUMENTAL” Metro “HUGE PRESENCE…REALLY KNOWS HOW TO WORK A ROOM…ATTITUDE AND ENERGY…PROPERLY HILARIOUS, THOROUGHLY ENJOYABLE” Mirror “ROCK 'n' ROLL COMEDIAN.  ABSOLUTELY boxfresh; Nothing is staid about Stade” Evening Standard “Stand-up elite” Chortle “So cool he could well be the answer to global warming. Gloriously funny” Scotsman

John Lynn: Woke Up - John Lynn was on top of the world. Film offers had started coming in and he was finally finding his feet on the London property ladder. John felt invincible - but his body had other ideas. After collapsing in his local café, John ended up in an Intensive Care Unit fighting a virus in his brain that had caused his heart to falter. Eventually his body began to heal but the experience had taken its toll. John was afraid of everything and It takes a year of wild experiences to put him back on top.

“BRILLIANT”  The Irish Times “KILLER COMEDY” The List “ABSOLUTELY COMPELLING… AN EASY DELIVERY THAT LIKE THE LATE, GREAT DAVE ALLEN, CAN EXPLODE WITH ANGRY EYEBALL POPPING INTENSITY. HUGELY ENTERTAINING… SHADES OF DYLAN MORAN, BUT STILL COMPLETELY JOHN LYNN” Chortle

SUNDAY 9TH JULY - eLLIE TAYLOR ROBYN PERKINS

Ellie Taylor: This Guy - Following a sell-out 2016 Edinburgh Fringe and subsequent nationwide tour, the star of BBC’s Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week and The John Bishop Show, Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats, and BBC Radio 4’s The Now Show presents an unmissable new hour of stand up.

‘Radiates charisma…blessed with great flair’ - The Guardian ‘She doesn’t miss a beat’ - The List

Robyn Perkins - ROBYN'S BAD DECISION TIME - Everyone has a crazy family. Some are bad at relationships. But few justify their emotional decisions with stats and scientific research. Join robyn on this [informative] journey of unbelievable, yet relatable, stories, seeing first hand what happens when you don't think before you act.

**** ‘Sharp, insightful, touching... and above all, really, really funny’ (ThreeWeeks) ‘Witty and sharp’ (Chortle) English Comedian of the Year Finalist [technically American]

MONDAY 10TH JULY -  SHAPPI KHORSANDI AND ANDREW RYAN

Shappi Khorsandi: Mistress and Misfit - Shappi presents England's unsung heroine. For too many years she has been known as just ‘Nelson's mistress', a bit of a harlot. (You get ONE job in a brothel and bang goes your reputation.) Women's lib wasn't a 'thing' in Georgian times, Emma moved mountains to haul herself from 'scullery maid' to 'Lady Hamilton'. Yes, she occasionally danced on tables naked to get ahead in life, but who hasn't? As a fellow naked dancer on tables, Shappi is inspired by Emma, although she never wants hair big enough to house mice in.

Andrew Ryan: Did You Get Here Alright? - Irishman, and star of BBC1 NI’s The Blame Game, Andrew Ryan returns to the Fringe with another offering of his “well-paced, well written show that delivers plenty of laughs” **** THE MIRROR. Andrew is trying to conquer love, life, politics, insecurity, fear, living alone, all while he is an immigrant in a country where he was recently told to ‘go home’. Andrew has found the answer, it is not what he expected. “very entertaining hour of comedy that comes in a very natural style” **** FEST MAG

TUESDAY 11TH JULY - ANDREW MAXWELL AND ESHAAN AKBAR

Andrew Maxwell: Showtime - This will be Andrews 22nd Edinburgh Fringe show! He just loves Edinburgh, also he's been on the telebox a lot, he's Irish, adorable and blooming damn funny! What more do you want? Book now!

Eshaan Akbar: Not For Prophet - The debut fringe show from Piccadilly Comedian of the Year 2016. The ultimate colonial baby, the multi-lingual, privately-educated former banker, ex-Muslim and son of a Labourite and a Thatcherite is as confused as you are. A former "So You Think You're Funny" finalist, and as seen on BBC iPlayer, Akbar's debut show will take you on a delightful journey of what it's like to be him!

WEDNESDAY 12TH JULY - ROBIN INCE AND JOHN HASTINGS

Robin Ince's Rorschach Test - Presenter of BBC's Rose d'Or award-winning Infinite Monkey Cage gets excited about goats on canvas, matchstalk men and holes in pelvis bones in a show probably about art. Expect a frenetic hour where Robin tries to explain why he likes staring at art and the best overheard conversations are in art galleries. From Georgia O'Keeffe to Robert Rauschenberg via Stanley Spencer, Robin will attempt to translate the thoughts in his head into spoken words. 'The Zoolander of reasonably priced knitwear' (Brian Cox). And he has a new book out, I'm a Joke... and So Are You.

John Hastings: Audacity - BBC 3's John Hastings, the funniest white comedian from Canada, was briefly vegan and is currently in love. An Amused Moose Comedy Award-nominated comedian, he's here to confront his fear of confrontation and prove that love starts in the toilet (not that kind, you yucky idiots). This 'fast growing comic is a pleasure to watch' (Times). **** (Herald). **** (Fest). **** (ThreeWeeks). **** (BroadwayBaby.com). ***** (Melbourne Herald Sun). **** (EdFestMag.com). **** (Now Magazine). **** (ThreeWeeks). 'His act is packed with observations and wit that will stay with you in a good way' ***** (Mirror).

THURSDAY 13TH JULY - IVO GRAHAM AND NIGEL NG

Ivo Graham: Educated Guess - After an eventful year off (got a new laptop, etc.), the boy's back in town, with resolutions galore but less courage in his convictions than ever. How much has Ivo learnt? And what good has it done him? As seen on Mock The Week, Live At The Apollo, As Yet Untitled, Live From The BBC, Fighting Talk. “Honed to within a whisker of perfection... a joyous show" - Evening Standard. “Sharp punchlines, topper gags and the unmistakable sense of a young comic finding another gear” - Scotsman. “Like Hugh Grant’s less well-adjusted younger brother” - Guardian

Nigel Ng - Nigel Ng is a Malaysian comic who won Amused Moose Laugh Off in 2016. He is now based in the UK, and can be seen performing in comedy clubs all over the country. Come listen to him perform 45 minutes of jokes about Malaysia, the UK, and how clean the tap water is around these parts. ‘Natural funnybones… as slick as they come’ - Chortle. ‘Plenty of good lines… keen observer’ – Bruce Dessau, beyondthejoke.co.uk

WEDNESDAY 19 TH JULY - HATE N LIVE

Hate n Live - This fast moving comedy show has the audience write down suggestions which are pulled at random out of a bucket, then the comedians have to say why they hate it...no matter what it is! Everyone likes seeing a comedian let rip on a deserving target, but the real fun comes from seeing a comedian squirming to find an angle to hate on something that’s impossible to hate, such as “puppies” or “the abolition of slavery”. This is Whose Line Is It Anyway? meets Room 101! Hate ‘n’ Live features regular Gladihaters Darius “Sir Hatealot” Davies and Leo “Kearse on Humanity” Kearse, with a revolving lineup of top comedians and improvisers.
